Spice refills come in plant-based, biodegradable cellophane bags, sealed with a compostable plant-based label. This makes Hean's Spice the premier online zero waste spice refill option! Remember to transfer spice refills to permanent containers upon receipt; the refill bags aren't suitable for long-term storage. If you don't compost, just let us know, and we can substitute paper bags for your order. Please be aware, though, that paper bags aren't as durable and may experience minor leaks during shipping.

Reducing Packaging:

Our spice kits are packaged in quantities that allow us to reuse the simple Kraft box cartons from our jar shipments. This strategy not only minimizes waste but also eliminates the need to purchase new materials. It's a win-win for sustainability!
